What this track covers

The shared vocabulary and mental toolkit of product design: what UX, UI and product design actually mean, the five components of usability, Nielsen’s ten heuristics with real violations, and Norman’s core concepts — mental models, affordances, signifiers, feedback, mapping and constraints.

Planned lessons beyond the ones published: design process models (Double Diamond, Lean UX and their critics), user-centered design and ISO 9241-210, design maturity and the designer’s role in a product team.
