About DesignGrounds

DesignGrounds is a personal, evidence-based product design curriculum: structured learning tracks built on primary sources — Nielsen Norman Group research, Baymard studies, platform guidelines (Apple HIG, Material 3, WCAG) and the classic books of the field.

Every topic exists in three connected states: a lesson that teaches it, reference entries (glossary terms, pattern cards) for quick lookup, and a quiz that tests it — with every answer explained and sourced.

All summaries here are original digests with links to the originals. If you own one of the sources and disagree with a summary, get in touch.

Colophon

Built with Astro, no client-side framework — quizzes are small vanilla-JS islands. Content lives in Markdown and JSON in a git repo. The site itself is an exercise in the design system it teaches.
